About Custom Tailored Solutions
I'm Zach Brounoff. When my wife and I moved from the U.S. to the Netherlands on a DAFT visa, we thought we had covered every detail. We worked with an excellent relocation team to secure our apartment, handle administrative setup, and clear the legal hurdles.
Then we arrived with 16 suitcases and our dog, only to realize that getting here was only step one. Building a daily life was where the real learning curve began.
We suddenly faced a relentless stream of micro-decisions. How do you decipher Dutch cleaning products? Which paper goods feel like home? Which bike and gear do you actually need for year-round life here? We spent hundreds of hours researching, experimenting, and adapting to a new way of living—from car-free transit to daily neighborhood shopping.
That experience, along with my background running my own technology business for over 20 years, inspired Custom Tailored Solutions. While tech has been the avenue through which I help people, my core focus has always been solving complex human problems. We pick up right where your relocation agency leaves off—taking the guesswork out of outfitting your home and navigating daily Dutch life so your new house feels like home from day one.
